With plans to have a new Holt High School completed by 2018, there is still more that needs to be done before the Tuscaloosa County School System can begin construction.
During a work session Thursday, architect Jim Ward of Ward Scott Architecture talked about the project with the board.
“What I want to do is get a consensus of we’re all the same page and we can move forward in designing the building based on the scope of the project and the budget,” Ward said.
Going through renderings of the proposed school’s floor plan, Ward said he had taken input from teachers and administrators at the school to get perspective on what could be done. He said that in addition to other things, the building will be designed to accommodate additions in the coming years.
